Providing tailored Early Learning services in Branxton since 2005

Bees Nees provides a team of qualified, experienced and caring educators who are responsible for the development and care of your child. These educators hold either a Bachelor Degree or Diploma qualification. All staff at the service have undergone a working with children check, and hold a current first aid certificate.

Our Centre values professional development, and as a result, staff and educators have opportunities to attend various training/conferences to keep up to date with current practices.

At orientation, you will be able to meet your child’s room educators. A team photo display is in our foyer, along with each person’s qualification.

Our Philosophy

Bees Nees Early Learning prides itself on being a small, friendly service which aims to provide a safe and trusting environment that is child centred, encouraging respect for ones self and for others.

We respect the child’s right to be involved in our environment and promote cultural respect within our community. This allows the children to experiment, explore, take initiative and make choices. We believe in the value of play.

Our Centre

About/ History

Desiree always had a vision of working in a small centre, providing quality programs and care for children. Desiree and her husband opened Bees Nees in February 2005. She recognised the need for establishing a centre in the Branxton area and, along with a local building company and Desiree’s vision, a small, welcoming, homelike setting was created!

She worked with a local builder to design and build a purpose built Long Day Care Centre to allow for the supervision and safety of the children in a beautiful homely environment. The specially designed roof with its high ceilings and sun filled windows enables the maximum amount of light, air, and warmth from the winter sun inside the two playrooms, whilst keeping the harsh summer sun at bay. This eco friendly design minimises the use of energy. Having glass partitions between the rooms and a security intercom system at our front entry keeps your child safe and easily supervised. The modern environment provides a homely and welcoming atmosphere.

In 2005, the centre was opened to the local community and since then it has established many friendships and connections within the local Branxton community and surrounds.

Our Approach

We believe that what we offer is exceptional. We also understand that all services have their special qualities. So keeping that in mind, we encourage families to visit our service as well as other services to get a feel of the environment. It is important that the parents are feeling positive about the service that their child will attend. Being a small service, we are able to quickly establish and maintain positive relationships with parents as well as the extended family. We know it is important that you see the same familiar face each week, and that is exactly what you get!

We like to be out in the community. Our location enables us to go on regular walks, Educators visit the local schools maintaining the transition to school connection, as well as visit the local playgroup.

Our Learning Program

Outcomes

Our centre operates in accordance with the National Quality Framework. The program is guided by “Belonging, Being & Becoming” The Early Years Learning Framework, which has the following outcomes:

  • Children have a strong sense of identity

  • Children are connected with and contribute to their world

  • Children have a strong sense of well-being

  • Children are confident and involved learners

  • Children are effective communicators

Desiree, who is a qualified and experienced educator, is the educational leader at the centre. She has the role to lead the development and implementation of the educational program.
