For parents wishing to enroll their child at Bees Nees Early Learning we have a waiting list form for you to download. Please fill in the form and send back to us. If you are unable to print the form please contact the centre on 4938 1900 and we will post one to you. All information supplied on the Waiting List Form is treated confidential and must be accurate.

A copy of the child’s birth certificate and an Immunisation History Statement (this can be obtained by phoning ACIR 1800 653809, or visiting Medicare or Centrelink, www.medicareaustralia.gov.au ) must be brought into the centre at time of enrolment. Please remember to contact the Centre immediately if any details change.


Waiting List

As a requirement of funding, children are enrolled and selected from the waiting list on a “Priority Basis”.

Centre Fees

Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR)

Child Care benefit and Child Care Rebate, subsidies provided by the Government, are available at our centre for eligible families. For more information, contact the Family Assistance Office on 131650.


Reducing Days or Leaving

Two weeks (14 days) written notice is required when forfeiting your child’s position or reducing days. Your security deposit will be refunded or adjusted accordingly.

Immunisation

The Immunisation Status of your child is extremely important. In the event of a vaccine preventable disease occurring in the Centre, the Director is required to notify the Public Health Unit. Un-immunised children must be excluded from the Centre, with fees still payable at this time. The centre will ensure that parents/carers provide documentation of their child's immunisation history statement from the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) upon enrolment. This can be obtained by phoning ACIR on 1800 653 809, or visiting Medicare or Centrelink, www.medicareaustralia.gov.au

Centre Hours

The Centre is opened from 8.00am until 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Due to our Licensing Regulations, we are unable to open the doors to parents and children prior to 8.00am.

We are opened for a minimum of 48 weeks per year, with the only closure being over the Christmas period. The Centre is closed for all Public Holidays.

Educators

Children playing in the sandpit at Bees Nees Early Learning CentreAs part of Employment at the Centre, and in accordance with Department of Education and Communities, the Ombudsman Act, and the Children (Care and Protection) Act, all staff are required to undergo a Working With Children Check. This ensures the safety of the children enrolled. In accordance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the Centre is required to employ a total of four staff to meet staff to child ratios. However, Bees Nees Early Learning have employed five staff. Please feel free to approach any Staff member if you have any questions or concerns.

Your Child’s Educators are:

Approved Provider/Nominated Supervisor/Educational Leader - Desiree - Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood), Associate Diploma in Social Science (Child Studies), Senior First Aid Certificate.

Educator - Rachel - Bachelor of Teaching, Senior First Aid Certificate.

Educator - Belinda - Diploma of Community Services, Senior First Aid Certificate, studying Bachelor of Education.

Educator - Sarah - Diploma of Community Services, Senior First Aid Certificate.

Educator - Katie - Diploma of Community Services, Senior First Aid Certificate, studying Bachelor of Education.

Educator - Kalle - Diploma of Community Services, Senior First Aid Certificate.

Administration- Tracey - Responsible for all Administration duties, Certificate III in Children’s services, Senior First Aid Certificate.

Trainee - Taylah - Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Senior First Aid Certificate. Currently studying Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Casual - Jessica - Certificate III in Children's Services, Senior First Aid Certificate.

Relief Staff

Staff are entitled to take leave throughout the year, being annual leave and any Time In Lieu. The Centre will employ casual staff during these times, and these staff members are also required to undergo the Working With Children Check.

Students

At various times throughout the year, the centre will have Students from TAFE, and other Educational Institutions.
